Morning: Getting Ready in
Quiet Before the wedding day really starts, there’s a calm early morning moment. I’m checking my camera gear carefully—making sure lenses are clean, batteries are full, and memory cards are empty and ready. It’s a small but important ritual for me, a time to focus and prepare myself to be fully present for the day ahead.
“That quiet before everything begins feels special—a mix of excitement and calm.”
At the Bride’s Home: Precious Moments
When I arrive at the bride’s place, everything feels soft and full of emotion. I quietly capture little things—the mother fixing the bride’s veil, delicate henna designs on her hands, nervous but hopeful smiles. These moments aren’t posed or planned; they’re real, and sometimes the most beautiful parts of the day.
Ceremonies and Happy Chaos
Weddings in Bihar are full of life. Relatives come together, music plays, kids run around, and everywhere there’s laughter and celebration. I have to stay alert to catch everything—from grand rituals to small smiles shared between family members. The wedding day is busy and loud, but it’s packed with priceless moments.
Couple Time: Just Being Together
During some quieter moments, I help the couple relax. I tell them to forget the camera, walk hand in hand, or just look at each other. The best photos come when couples are themselves— laughing, holding hands, sharing a quiet smile. These natural moments tell their story better than any stiff pose.
“It’s not about perfect pictures. It’s about real feelings.”
Evening: The Big Celebration
When evening comes, everything lights up with color and energy. The baraat arrives, rituals happen with great emotion, and everyone celebrates together. I move around, capturing everything—the ceremony, the bride’s bright smile, families coming together. Every photo is a piece of the whole story.
At the End: The Work Continues
When the party quiets down and guests leave, my work isn’t over. I back up photos carefully and start the editing process. Each image is a memory frozen in time, a way to keep the day alive forever. Being a wedding photographer here means more than taking pictures—it means being part of something truly special.
“Behind every picture is a real story—and behind every story, a lifetime of memories.”
This is not just a job to me. It’s a privilege to capture these moments of love and joy, so they can be remembered forever.
